Sarah Kate Sellers Joins the Sellers Construction Team

Macon native, Sarah Kate Sellers, has returned home to work with her father, Rader Sellers, at Sellers Construction Company. After spending several years gaining marketing experience in the Nashville commercial real estate market, she brings her design and branding expertise to the Sellers Construction office. Joining the Sellers team allows her to grow as a professional and get involved locally. Sarah Kate is a 2021 Mercer University graduate with a degree in Vocal Performance and minor in Business Administration. She also graduated from Stratford Academy in Macon. Rader is an active member of the community and has loved welcoming Sarah Kate back to the Macon area. She will be updating the Sellers Construction brand, participating in business development, marketing, and keeping up all social media accounts. 

The Sellers family has a long history of business involvement in the Macon and Gordon area. C.R. Rader, Sarah Kate’s great grandfather, was the founder of C.R. Rader jewelers, which still resides on Cherry Street in downtown Macon. Sarah Kate’s great uncle still owns it today. It has been a premier jewelry and silver store since 1914. Rader’s father, Barry Sellers, started and was the principal owner at Wilkinson Kaolin Associates in Gordon, GA. The company participated in the mining, overburden removal, and sale of Kaolin. The company was founded in 1981 and was sold in 2003. 

Rader Sellers started Sellers Construction in 2000. The company got its start in the overburden and mining industry and has since expanded its grading operations to include plumbing, utilities, and transportation. Sarah Kate joining the team is a great opportunity for her to get involved in the family business. Sellers Construction is excited to bring aboard her marketing experience and drive. Sellers Construction Company is today one of the largest mining and grading contractors for sitework, kaolin, and quarry industries.
